The fantastic ice range of the Cordillera Huayhuash is renowned for knife-edged 20,000-foot peaks that attract mountaineers from around the world. Seven of Peru’s highest peaks rise from this dramatic massif, whose awesome beauty can be seen in the gripping adventure, film Touching the Void.
The full Cordillera Huayhuash trek is the classic route of the region, It is rated as difficult level because daily there are climbing at an altitude of 4,650 m. to 5,000 m. but each stage is short (from 12 to 15 kilometers, from 4 to 7 hours trekking) and you will get good acclimatation. It is not a race against the clock, on the contrary we will have time to see this wonderful landscape, flowers (there are a lot, in all the year) and birds. The donkeys will carry all our luggage. It is our preferred hike!
